This page lists everything KrakenGo stores in your browser, why, and for how long. It is a short list, and you are in control of the optional part.
2.How we use them
We keep this short on purpose. KrakenGo uses two kinds:
- Strictly necessary. Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. The law does not require consent for these, and they cannot be switched off here.
- Interactive maps. The live fleet map is provided by Mapbox. Creating the map stores an identifier in your browser and connects you to Mapbox servers, so we load it only if you allow it.
We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels or third-party analytics. If that ever changes, this policy and the banner will change first, and we will ask again.
3.The cookies we use
| Name | Type | What it does | Lifetime | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
kg-consent | Cookie, first party | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so we do not ask on every page. | 6 months | Strictly necessary |
kg-loader | Session storage, first party | Notes that the opening animation has already played in this tab so it is not shown again. | Until you close the tab | Strictly necessary |
mapbox.eventData* | Local storage, set by Mapbox | An anonymous identifier and usage counters that Mapbox uses to measure and bill map loads. | Until cleared. We delete it when you switch maps off. | Interactive maps |
4.Connections to other companies
These are not cookies, but you should know about them:
- Mapbox (Mapbox, Inc., United States). When maps are allowed, your browser downloads map tiles from
api.mapbox.comand sends usage events toevents.mapbox.com. Mapbox receives your IP address. See the Mapbox privacy policy. - Fleet photographs. Some boat photos, in the gallery and on the map, are delivered directly from our fleet partner’s image server, which sees your IP address when a photo loads. No cookie is set.
5.Your choices
The banner on your first visit lets you accept everything, keep only what is necessary, or choose. Saying no is as easy as saying yes, and the site works either way. Without maps you will see a placeholder where the live map would be, with a button to load it.
You can change your mind at any time: . The same link is at the bottom of every page. If you switch maps off we also delete what Mapbox stored.
Your browser gives you further control. In its privacy settings you can see, block and delete cookies and site data for any website. Blocking everything will stop this site from remembering your cookie choice, so the banner will return on each visit.
6.How long your choice lasts
We remember your choice for 6 months and then ask again. We also ask again if we add a new category of cookie.
7.Changes and contact
We update this page whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows the current version. Questions: [PRIVACY EMAIL]. For how we handle personal data in general, see the Privacy Policy.
